Role overview
Welding and fabrication foremen to run welding and fabrication at industrial and oil and gas sites in the UAE. AED 10,500 a month with accommodation provided.
Key responsibilities
- Supervise daily welding and fabrication activities
- Lead and coordinate welders, fabricators and helpers
- Read fabrication and welding drawings and specifications
- Ensure fabrication follows the approved drawings
- Monitor fit-up, alignment, dimensions and fabrication quality
- Ensure the correct welding procedures are followed
- Coordinate material, manpower, tools and equipment
- Monitor productivity and work progress
- Coordinate with engineers, supervisors, QA and QC inspectors and site teams
- Identify fabrication problems and coordinate corrective action
- Keep the work area in good order
- Ensure workers follow site HSE requirements
- Coordinate inspections with QA and QC
- Keep work within the project schedule
Requirements
- Strong experience as a welding or fabrication foreman
- Able to supervise a team
- Able to read drawings
- Good communication and leadership
- Valid passport
- Medically fit for overseas employment
