Role overview

A warehouse helper is required for warehouses, distribution centres and fulfilment operations. You pick, pack, sort, receive and dispatch goods, and some stores include chilled or cold rooms. AED 1,200 to 1,800 a month, indicative.

Key responsibilities

  • Pick items from racks against pick lists and orders
  • Pack goods in cartons and protect them for transport
  • Check labels and quantities when stock is received
  • Scan items with a handheld scanner where the system is used
  • Put away stock in the correct rack and bin location
  • Sort parcels by route, customer or destination
  • Prepare dispatch pallets and wrap them for loading
  • Support inventory counts and report differences
  • Move cartons by hand, trolley or pallet jack, where trained
  • Keep aisles and loading bays clear and clean

Requirements

  • No trade qualification needed
  • Able to read labels and pick lists in English or numbers and codes
  • Able to follow instructions in Hindi or basic English
  • Willing to lift, stand and work shifts, including cold rooms where the store has them
  • Punctual and accurate
  • Valid passport
  • Medically fit for overseas employment

About the work

You make sure the right goods leave the building and arrive in good condition. Days are spent on your feet, reading labels and pick lists and moving cartons by hand or trolley. The work is physical and repetitive, with shifts and, in some stores, time in cold rooms. Forklift operation is a separate skilled role and is not part of this job.

An organised, careful person who takes care over small details such as codes and quantities, and who stays steady during busy dispatch periods.

Salary & benefits
