Role overview
Transit mixer drivers are required to deliver ready-mix concrete from batching plants to construction sites. The work depends on timing, because concrete must be placed within a set period after mixing. AED 2,000 to 3,500 a month, indicative.
Experience requirement. Candidates must have at least 2 years of experience driving heavy trucks, preferably transit mixers or similar drum trucks.
Key responsibilities
- Drive a transit mixer from the batching plant to construction sites
- Collect the load ticket at the plant and hand it to the site engineer on arrival
- Keep the drum turning at the correct speed on the road
- Discharge concrete through the chute as directed by the pump or site crew
- Follow banksman signals when reversing to the pour point
- Wash out the drum and chute at the designated washout area after discharge
- Never add water to the load unless the site engineer or plant instructs it
- Check the drum, hydraulics, chute, tyres and brakes before the first load
- Watch the time from batching to discharge and report delays
- Keep the truck body and mirrors clean of hardened concrete
Requirements
- At least 2 years of heavy truck driving experience
- A valid UAE driving licence in the right category is an advantage. Otherwise a valid Indian licence for the same vehicle class, and willingness to complete the UAE licence process the employer arranges
- Experience on transit mixers is an advantage
- Understanding of banksman signals and site safety rules
- Awareness of concrete timing and washout rules
- Basic English or Hindi for plant and site instructions
- Valid passport
- Medically fit for overseas employment

About the work
You collect a load of concrete at the plant, drive to the site while the drum keeps turning, and discharge it where the site team directs. Then you return to the plant for the next load. The employer expects on-time arrival, careful drum handling and a clean truck at the end of each trip.

Salary & benefits
