Role overview

Trailer drivers are required for semi-trailer and articulated truck operations in freight, port, industrial and long-distance haulage. Work involves flatbed, container and low-bed trailers moving goods and heavy equipment between yards, ports and sites. AED 3,000 to 5,000 a month, indicative.

Experience requirement. Candidates must have at least 3 years of experience driving articulated trucks with trailers, including coupling work.

Key responsibilities

Drive articulated trucks with flatbed, container and low-bed trailers
Couple and uncouple the trailer, checking the fifth wheel, locking pins and air and electrical lines
Reverse the full combination into docks, stacking yards and terminals
Secure heavy cargo with chains, binders, lashings and wedges
Check trailer tyres, landing legs, brakes, lights and twist locks before departure
Plan fuel and rest stops on long routes
Follow terminal gate procedures and speed limits inside ports and yards
Work with escorts and spotters when moving wide or abnormal loads
Check weights and axle loads against permitted limits
Complete trip sheets and handover documents

Requirements

At least 3 years of articulated trailer driving experience
A valid UAE driving licence in the right category is an advantage. Otherwise a valid Indian licence for the same vehicle class, and willingness to complete the UAE licence process the employer arranges
Hands-on experience with coupling and uncoupling
Understanding of load securing methods
Ability to read route instructions and trip papers
Basic English or Hindi for dispatch and gate staff
Valid passport
Medically fit for overseas employment

About the work

You drive a prime mover (the tractor unit) coupled to a trailer, carrying heavy or oversized loads over long distances. You connect and disconnect trailers yourself and manoeuvre in tight terminal yards. The employer expects safe handling of a long vehicle, correct load securing and strong discipline on long runs.

Ideal candidate

A skilled articulated-truck driver who is calm when reversing a long trailer into a tight bay. You treat load securing as part of the job, not an extra.

Salary & benefits

AED 3,000–5,000 /mo — approximately ₹77,800 – ₹129,700 per month (indicative).
