Role overview
A senior electrical design engineer for high-rise, residential and villa projects in the UAE, taking electrical building services design from concept through detailed design, technical submissions and construction support, across LV distribution, lighting, load calculations and layouts. AED 7,000 to 14,000 a month.
Experience requirement. Minimum 8 years of relevant professional experience, with proven project exposure to high-rise buildings, residential buildings and villa construction. UAE project experience is strongly preferred. You should be able to demonstrate your technical knowledge, project responsibilities and hands-on experience during the interview.
Key responsibilities
- Develop electrical designs for building projects
- Prepare and review single-line diagrams (SLDs)
- Perform electrical load calculations
- Prepare load schedules and distribution schedules
- Design LV power distribution systems
- Develop lighting and power layouts
- Perform cable sizing and voltage drop calculations
- Coordinate distribution boards, panels and electrical equipment
- Develop earthing and bonding requirements
- Coordinate emergency and backup power requirements where applicable
- Review electrical specifications and equipment schedules
- Prepare and review electrical drawings
- Review shop drawings and technical submittals
- Respond to RFIs and technical queries
- Coordinate electrical systems with HVAC, plumbing, architectural and structural disciplines
- Identify and resolve design clashes
- Take part in design and technical coordination meetings
- Support value engineering
- Provide technical support during construction
- Support testing, commissioning and handover
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering
- Strong knowledge of LV electrical distribution and building electrical systems
- Experience in load calculations, cable sizing and electrical layouts
- Able to prepare and review SLDs
- Strong understanding of multidisciplinary MEP coordination
- Able to read architectural, structural and MEP drawings
- Strong technical documentation and coordination skills
- Valid passport
- Medically fit for overseas employment

Salary & benefits
AED 7,000–14,000 /mo — approximately ₹181,600 – ₹363,200 per month (indicative). Final salary depends on your experience, skills, communication and interview performance, and on the employer's selection.
