Key responsibilities
- Carry out MIG and TIG welding
- Prepare and clean metal surfaces before welding
- Read basic fabrication drawings where required
- Set welding equipment to suit the material and the job
- Inspect welds for quality and defects
- Grind and finish welded areas
- Maintain welding equipment and tools
- Follow welding safety procedures and PPE requirements
Requirements
- Practical MIG and TIG welding experience
- Good understanding of welding techniques
- Able to work with different metal components
- Experience certificate required
- Valid passport and medically fit for overseas employment
