Role overview
Mechanical technicians for refinery maintenance in Abu Dhabi and Ruwais, covering rotating equipment, overhauls and turnaround work.
Key responsibilities
- Carry out preventive, corrective and breakdown maintenance
- Maintain pumps, compressors, valves, gearboxes and rotating equipment
- Assist with equipment overhaul and repair
- Dismantle and reassemble mechanical equipment
- Replace bearings, mechanical seals, gaskets, couplings and related parts
- Support equipment alignment
- Spot mechanical defects and abnormal equipment conditions
- Assist mechanical engineers and maintenance supervisors
- Support shutdown and turnaround maintenance
- Follow permit-to-work and LOTO procedures
- Use the right tools and PPE
- Keep maintenance records and job-completion reports
- Follow refinery HSE and equipment-handling procedures
Requirements
- ITI or diploma in mechanical engineering
- 1 to 8 years or more of mechanical maintenance experience
- Valid passport
- Medically fit for overseas employment

General requirements for these refinery roles
- Medically fit, and able to meet GCC employment and visa requirements
- Relevant refinery, petrochemical, oil and gas, gas-processing or heavy-process industry experience is preferred
- Willing to work shift-based, plant or field roles where the job requires it
- Good English communication and technical reporting
- Understands and follows HSE, permit-to-work, LOTO and emergency-response procedures
- Educational and experience documents may be verified by the employer
- Able to provide educational certificates, experience letters and supporting documents
- Final selection rests with the employer's interview, technical assessment and approval
- A pre-employment medical, document verification and visa processing may be required

Salary & benefits
AED 5,000–10,000 /mo — approximately ₹129,700 – ₹259,400 per month (indicative).
