Role overview
Maintenance electricians are required for hotels, hospitals, malls, residential communities, warehouses and facility-management contracts. The focus is keeping occupied buildings powered and safe. AED 1,800 to 3,000 a month, indicative.
Experience requirement. Candidates must have 2 or more years of building or facility maintenance experience, including repair work in occupied areas.
Key responsibilities
- Carry out planned preventive maintenance (PPM) tasks on the schedule given
- Attend reactive repairs and emergency call-outs, including at night when on call
- Troubleshoot faults in lighting, sockets and equipment supplies
- Replace damaged wiring, sockets, breakers, switches and light fittings
- Inspect distribution boards, tighten terminations and carry out thermal checks
- Support generator, ATS (automatic transfer switch) and UPS (uninterruptible power supply) checks where experienced
- Receive and close work orders in a computer-aided facilities management (CAFM) system
- Isolate and make safe before opening any equipment
- Hand over open faults at shift change
- Work quietly and tidily in guest, patient or tenant areas
Requirements
- 2 or more years of maintenance electrical experience in buildings
- ITI Electrician, a diploma in electrical engineering or an equivalent trade certificate is preferred
- Willing to work shifts and be on call
- A DEWA (Dubai Electricity and Water Authority) or other local authority competency approval is an advantage where the employer requires it
- Basic English or Hindi to read work orders and speak to residents
- Valid passport
- Medically fit for overseas employment

You respond to faults and carry out scheduled checks in buildings that people are using. Uptime matters more than installation speed, so you fix problems quickly and politely around guests, patients and residents. Salary & benefits
