Role overview

HSE officers for UAE and GCC oil and gas, EPC, refinery, petrochemical and industrial projects, including ADNOC and ENOC contractor environments. AED 4,500 to 8,000 a month, with site inspections, permit-to-work and risk assessment at the centre of the work.

Key responsibilities

  • Carry out daily site HSE inspections and identify unsafe acts and conditions
  • Monitor compliance with approved risk assessments and method statements
  • Implement and monitor permit-to-work requirements
  • Run toolbox talks and safety briefings
  • Monitor high-risk work:
    • Hot work
    • Confined spaces
    • Work at height
    • Excavation
    • Lifting operations
    • Electrical work
    • Scaffolding
    • Heavy equipment
  • Check that workers are using the right PPE
  • Monitor housekeeping and site access
  • Identify hazards and recommend corrective action
  • Prepare and keep HSE inspection reports
  • Report unsafe conditions and follow up on corrective action
  • Take part in incident and near-miss investigations
  • Keep HSE records and documentation
  • Coordinate with construction, QA and QC and project teams
  • Assist with emergency drills and response preparedness
  • Monitor subcontractor HSE compliance
  • Support client and consultant HSE inspections
  • Ensure site activities meet project HSE requirements

Requirements

  • Diploma or degree in engineering, HSE, safety or a related discipline
  • NEBOSH certification is required for this role
  • HSE experience on oil and gas, EPC, construction or industrial projects
  • Experience on ADNOC, ADNOC Group, ENOC or other UAE oil and gas projects, or under their HSE requirements (preferred, not required)
  • Practical knowledge of permit-to-work, JSA and JHA, risk assessment and method statements
  • Experience carrying out site inspections
  • Experience with toolbox talks and safety training
  • Knowledge of incident and near-miss reporting
  • Able to spot unsafe acts and conditions and set control measures
  • Good understanding of PPE and site safety requirements
  • Strong communication and reporting
  • Valid passport
  • Medically fit for overseas employment

Candidates who have worked on ADNOC, ADNOC Group, ENOC or other UAE oil and gas contractor projects are encouraged to apply. It is preferred on these roles and not required: candidates without it are considered on their wider oil and gas and EPC experience.

Salary & benefits

AED 4,500–8,000 /mo — approximately ₹116,700 – ₹207,500 per month (indicative). Final salary depends on your experience, skills, communication and interview performance, and on the employer's selection.
