Role overview
An experienced electrical foreman is required to lead a gang of electricians on a building or project site. The role sits between the supervisor and the workers on the ground. AED 4,000 to 7,500 a month, indicative.
Experience requirement. Candidates must have 7 or more years of electrical experience, including time leading a crew.
Key responsibilities
- Allocate daily tasks to electricians and helpers at the start of each shift
- Lead the toolbox talk, a short safety briefing, before work begins
- Check work against drawings and approved method statements
- Raise material requests for cable, conduit, accessories and consumables
- Check deliveries against the request and store materials safely
- Report daily progress and manpower to the supervisor
- Resolve clashes with other trades
- Assist electricians with difficult terminations, testing and fault-finding
- Make sure isolations and permits are in place before work starts
- Correct poor workmanship and train less experienced workers
Requirements
- 7 or more years of electrical experience, with crew leadership
- ITI Electrician, a diploma in electrical engineering or an equivalent trade certificate is preferred, and a diploma or degree is preferred for this role
- Able to read layouts, schematics and single-line diagrams
- Basic English for reports and requests
- A DEWA (Dubai Electricity and Water Authority) or other local authority competency approval is an advantage where the employer requires it
- Valid passport

Salary & benefits
