Role overview
Delivery drivers are required for parcel, grocery, retail and food distribution using vans and light trucks. Work covers daily routes in city areas, with stops at warehouses, shops, homes and offices. AED 2,000 to 3,200 a month, indicative.
Experience requirement. Candidates must have at least 1 year of experience driving a van or light truck on delivery work.
Key responsibilities
- Load parcels, cartons or crates in delivery order at the warehouse
- Check the manifest against the goods before leaving
- Use a delivery app or handheld device to plan and follow the route
- Deliver to homes, offices and shops within the time slot
- Confirm the customer's name and address before handing over
- Collect signatures, photos or one-time codes as proof of delivery
- Handle cash-on-delivery payments carefully and hand them in the same day
- Keep chilled and frozen items in the right condition during grocery runs
- Note failed deliveries and return goods to the warehouse
- Do daily checks of the van's tyres, lights and brakes
Requirements
- At least 1 year of van or light truck delivery experience
- A valid UAE driving licence in the right category is an advantage. Otherwise a valid Indian licence for the same vehicle class, and willingness to complete the UAE licence process the employer arranges
- Comfortable using a smartphone delivery app
- Basic arithmetic for cash handling
- Polite manner with customers
- Basic English or Hindi for addresses and calls
- Valid passport
- Medically fit for overseas employment

Salary & benefits
