Role overview
Control room operators to run refinery units from the central control room in Abu Dhabi and Ruwais, monitoring DCS parameters and responding to alarms.
Key responsibilities
- Operate and monitor refinery process units from the central control room
- Monitor DCS parameters and process trends
- Keep assigned units running safely and steadily
- Monitor pressure, temperature, flow and level
- Respond to process alarms and deviations
- Coordinate with field and outside operators
- Carry out startup and shutdown to approved procedures
- Communicate with maintenance and technical teams
- Monitor equipment performance
- Keep shift logs and operating records
- Follow permit-to-work, LOTO and isolation procedures
- Take part in emergency response
- Support commissioning, startup and turnaround
- Keep the plant running safely and continuously
Requirements
- Diploma, B.E. or B.Tech in chemical, process, petroleum or mechanical engineering, or a related discipline
- 1 to 8 years or more of control room or panel experience
- Valid passport
- Medically fit for overseas employment

General requirements for these refinery roles
- Medically fit, and able to meet GCC employment and visa requirements
- Relevant refinery, petrochemical, oil and gas, gas-processing or heavy-process industry experience is preferred
- Willing to work shift-based, plant or field roles where the job requires it
- Good English communication and technical reporting
- Understands and follows HSE, permit-to-work, LOTO and emergency-response procedures
- Educational and experience documents may be verified by the employer
- Able to provide educational certificates, experience letters and supporting documents
- Final selection rests with the employer's interview, technical assessment and approval
- A pre-employment medical, document verification and visa processing may be required

Salary & benefits
AED 6,000–12,000 /mo — approximately ₹155,600 – ₹311,300 per month (indicative). Final salary depends on your experience, skills, communication and interview performance, and on the employer's selection.
