Role overview
Control panel technicians are required in panel fabrication workshops and on sites with motor control and distribution equipment. The work is building, wiring and testing panels from drawings. AED 1,800 to 3,200 a month, indicative.
Experience requirement. Candidates must have 2 or more years of panel wiring and testing experience in a workshop or on site.
Key responsibilities
- Read wiring schematics and panel layout drawings before starting
- Assemble panels by mounting breakers, contactors, relays, terminals and DIN rails
- Wire motor control centre (MCC) and distribution panels to the schematic
- Cut, crimp and lug cables of the correct size
- Fit ferrules, which are small metal sleeves on wire ends, and label every wire as per the drawing
- Carry out point-to-point checks to confirm each wire goes where the schematic shows
- Fit busbars, cable glands and earthing connections
- Test control circuits, interlocks and indication lamps at power-up
- Fit busbars and cable glands
- Complete inspection and test sheets for each panel
Requirements
- 2 or more years of panel wiring and testing experience
- ITI Electrician, a diploma in electrical engineering or an equivalent trade certificate is preferred
- Able to read wiring schematics and panel layout drawings
- Experience of neat looming and cable dressing
- Awareness of electrical safety when testing panels
- Valid passport
- Medically fit for overseas employment

Salary & benefits
AED 1,800–3,200 /mo — approximately ₹46,700 – ₹83,000 per month (indicative). Final salary depends on your experience, skills, communication and interview performance, and on the employer's selection.
